Welcome to the Graphic Literature Guild Blog!
Hello and welcome to the GLG blogsite!
We are the Graphic Literature Guild, a student organization based in the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). The Guild's aim is to provide an avenue for comic creators and enthusiasts based in UPLB to meet, provide both training and experience as well as to actively advocate the appreciation of the medium we love so much.
The GLG believes that graphic literature, in all is different forms (Comics, Manga, Komiks, Manwha, etc.) is a free medium, meaning it has no intrinsic bias to political, cultural, gender, religious, social agendas. Simply put, you can relay any kind of message through comics! Even more easily said, if you have a story that aims to whether change lives or entertain (or even both!), putting it in sequential art form is a good way to do it!
In this little corner of the blogosphere, you will find the works of Guild members and other Filipino comic creators, announcements to event both local to the university and nationwide, thoughts, philosophies and ideas about the 2D and the 3D worlds of comics and real life, and much more!
For comments, feedback, big talks and small chitchat, especially if you have a comic or event to promote, contact the Guildmaster, Enzo Vega at enzovega@ymail.com. For Facebook updates, go to http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Graphic-Literature-Guild
Cheers and hope to interact with you again soon!
